Hellooo! Atlantis ("we", "us") is a community platform for Atlantis, Western Cape. We keep things simple: we collect as little personal information as possible, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribe.
- Advertising enquiries: the details you submit on our Advertise page, including business name, your name, phone number, and optionally your email address and a message.
- Business submissions: the details you provide when listing a business, including business name, category, area, contact details, description and photographs. We also record that you confirmed you are authorised to list the business.
- Business listings: information provided by business owners for public display, including name, contact details, photos and descriptions.
- Issue reports: the details you submit when reporting a problem with the site, including your message, the page concerned and, if you choose to provide it, your contact details.
What we use it for
- Sending the newsletter you signed up for.
- Responding to your advertising enquiry.
- Reviewing, publishing and maintaining business listings.
- Investigating and resolving issues you report to us.
- Contacting you about a listing or submission where necessary.
That is the extent of it. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use advertising trackers on this site.
Analytics
We use privacy friendly analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are most useful. These analytics do not use cookies, do not track you across other websites, and do not identify you as an individual.
Who we share it with
Your data is stored with trusted service providers that we use to run the platform, covering database hosting, website hosting and email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside South Africa. We do not share your personal information with anyone else, except where we are required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Enquiries, submissions and reports are kept for as long as they are useful for managing the platform, after which they are deleted. Published business listings remain until the business or we remove them.
Your rights (POPIA)
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, you may ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To do so, contact us at info.helloooatlantis@gmail.com and we will action it promptly. Every newsletter we send also includes an unsubscribe link that removes your details immediately.
Cookies
The public site does not use tracking cookies. A session cookie is used only for administrator sign in.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date shown above.
